FAQ

What is a Bitcoin solo mining pool?

A Bitcoin solo mining pool is a type of mining pool where miners work independently to find blocks and earn rewards directly to their own wallets. Unlike traditional mining pools, where miners combine their resources and share rewards, solo miners have full control over their mining efforts and receive the entire block reward if they successfully mine a block.

Solo mining can be more rewarding for individual miners, but it also comes with higher risks and variability in earnings. Miners must be prepared for the possibility of long periods without finding blocks.

What is the pool fee?

The pool fee is 2% of the block reward. This fee helps us cover operational costs and support open source projects that benefit the Bitcoin community. The breakdown of the pool fee allocation is as follows:

  • 1.5% - Hosting, Development, Open Source
  • 0.5% - ckpool Development Team

By mining with maxhash.io, you're not only contributing to the security of the Bitcoin network but also supporting the development of open source software that powers the ecosystem.

Whenever possible, all pool fees and donations are held and distributed in Bitcoin. We prioritize working with service providers and partners who accept Bitcoin, ensuring that your contributions directly support the Bitcoin ecosystem.
